Heartsaver First Aid Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid blended learning course, designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. This course provides students with the convenience of completing the course at their own pace wherever they have access to the Internet. It includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference, along with audio and transcript for students who may have a hearing or visual disability, and much more.

Continuing Education Accreditation – General Audience
The American Heart Association is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). The American Heart Association complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, the American Heart Association is authorized to issue the IACET 0.30 CEU.
Heartsaver Courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
Blended Learning
Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on session. The hands-on session is completed in person with an AHA Instructor or using a Voice Assisted Manikin (VAM), where available.
Heartsaver® First Aid
Designed to meet OSHA regulations, Heartsaver First Aid covers first aid basics, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.
